Positive: The apartment is part of a newly built accommodation complex consisting of 5 similar buildings, located in the town of Nikiana, approximately 50 meters from the main road. As far as I could tell, the entire complex is based on a single initial project, but the apartments have different owners who rent them out as Hotel Apartments, under different commercial names. Probably the interior finishes / amenities also bear some differences. Mente Azul is composed of 3 distinct apartments, arranged in the same building. There is no direct contact with the owner on site, only by phone. Positive aspects: - all apartments benefit from a parking space, in front of the building (even if they have a slightly reduced width, to maximize space). - all accommodation stations have a view of the sea, which is at least partially visible even from the first level. - each building has a swimming pool in front, in the basement. - there is an access road behind the properties, useful for unloading / loading luggage (in front of the buildings there is a difference in level between the parking lot and the buildings). - the area is quiet, away from the traffic of the main street (which can only be heard faintly), the balcony windows soundproofing quite well. - the existence of external blinds, electrically foldable. - the size of the room (in our case a studio type) is generous. - covered balcony / terrace, good size. - new, good quality furniture. - comfortable beds, including the sofa on which two children, 10 and 7 years old, slept (a topper was used). - the existence of useful amenities, namely: 2 TVs, regular-sized refrigerator with freezer, induction electric hob, hood, electric oven, coffee maker with capsules, air conditioning, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, tableware. - in normal outdoor temperatures (maximum 32 degrees Celsius), the use of air conditioning is not really required at night. - good wi-fi signal.
Negative: - quite narrow bathroom, very small sink (although the shower is spacious). - lack of included cleaning services, such as picking up the trash near the entrance door or replacing towels during the one-week stay (an additional fee is charged for this). - lack of a safe. - although the complex presents itself as "luxury", in reality the materials, equipment and finishes are very good but absolutely ordinary; the concept / design itself is premium, but the execution does not meet the luxury standard, in the strict sense of the term. Overall, the quality/price ratio is good and the general opinion is positive. The advantages outweigh the possible drawbacks.
